At Kintra, we strive to produce German Wirehaired Pointers that excel in a variety of roles and meet the guidelines set forth by the AKC German Wirehaired Pointer standard. With every breeding, we are hoping to produce dogs better than the previous generation.
All of our dogs are companions first and live in the house with us. Weather permitting, they are able to safely spend time outdoors in our large fenced in dog yards.
Parents have gone through extensive health testing as recommended by the German Wirehaired Pointer Club of America. More information can be found at www.ofa.org/recommended-tests?breed=GWP. While not a requirement, many of our dogs also have had Embark DNA + Health tests done.
Puppies are raised with the Puppy Culture Protocol, Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Early Scent Introduction (ESI), interactions with a variety of people and other dogs (age-permitting). Toys and other experiences are rotated frequently for puppies to enjoy. Growing up in our home, they are exposed to all of the household noises and activity they will experience in their new homes. We carefully consider potential owner's goals when matching puppies to their new homes.
Puppies receive vaccinations, microchips, and are vet checked before going to their new homes. We start litter training puppies when they are weaned and expose puppies to crate training before they go home. All puppies are registered with the American Kennel Club and can be registered with NAVHDA.
Consider us 24/7 support for the lifetime of our puppies. Our puppy homes become like family to us and we are always here to help! We will take any of our dogs back at any time for any reason.
